Loyal Scot Challenge

In the fall of 2011, the university's Board of Trustees issued Loyal Scot Challenges to alumni for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 academic years. The goal, to have the highest proportion of fully engaged alumni Loyal Scots. At stake, two $100,000 endowed student support funds from the trustees!

In 2011-12, regional alumni groups participated in the inaugural Loyal Scot Challenge, competing against one another to have the highest proportion of alumni Loyal Scots.

For 2012-13, the challenge shifted to the colleges. All alumni were invited to participate in the Challenge by showing their pride not only by making gifts annually, but also through their involvement with CMU and participation in events and activities throughout year.
